Here’s the story. I was graduating college and had no idea what I wanted to do. I have always loved bikinis. Growing up in Southern California, it is all that I would wear. However, there were always negative feelings attached to swimwear for me because of my body image issues. I created REVLY because I want everyone to feel confident and comfortable in a bathing suit.
The idea for REVLY was conceptualized back in September. All I had was an idea for a brand and a message. Having zero background in fashion or design I got to work. I started researching the heck out of the swimwear industry. I would spend hours a day going to bikini shops and feeling fabric, finding styles that I liked and just trying to learn everything I could about making swimwear. I wanted to create something that I would love and wear myself. I like sleek, simple and chic with a touch of edgy. I have been an athlete my whole life so I wanted this collection to be for active girls who also want to feel sexy. Months and months of designing, sampling, testing, fittings, banging my head against a wall and production has led to the creation of this first line.
I designed this first collection to bring you all back to the basics. I want you to wear the suit, don’t let the suit wear you. What I mean is, I want your inner beauty and confidence to shine through and be the first thing that people are noticing, not the crazy intricate detail of the bikini.
These suits are all designed with your comfort and active lifestyle in mind. They are all double lined so no cheapy liner on the inside against your skin. They all have removable cups, so if you’re feeling a little busty that day you can leave them in or if you hate them just throw them out. Every piece in this collection is seamless providing ultimate comfort and giving you a sleek look. We used high-end luxury swimwear fabric that is buttery soft to the touch. You really need to feel them to believe how silky smooth and curve hugging they are. The one pieces actually provide compression (watch our promo video, you can do a back flip in them without the girls popping out). The bottoms are all constructed the same in the front and just the coverage changes in the booty.
I really believe there is something in this collection for everyone. Whether you want to take your ‘kini out on the town or lay by the pool and tan or go for a hike, you’ll be able to find the perfect style for you. Our intentions are not to change the way you look, we just hope to change the way you feel about yourself.
