As May Gray and June Gloom disappear from the sky, we are beginning to see the sunnier side of summer now. The sun is out till almost 9 pm, the nights are no longer chilly, the beaches are warmer and swimsuits are the new day clothing.
As the nights start to feel endless, there are so many opportunities to do so many fun activities from day to night. To keep your summer long and active we have a couple of fun ideas and activities that you can do with your friends.
Hike in Malibu
Malibu offers more than just walking barefoot down the beach or zipping up the Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible. If you don’t mind a strong uphill workout consider Mugu Peak Trail. It is only 2.7 miles long, but the way up throws a lot of casual hikers off. You may need to stop for a breather or two on the climb. But the reward is well worth it—an 180-degree vista looking out over the Pacific at Point Mugu, just on the western edge of Malibu. If you’re up for it make sure to wear a REVLY fit to enjoy the hike in comfort while breaking a sweat.
Skate the Strand in Hermosa or Manhattan Beach
Whether you are new to skating or not The Strand on Manhattan and Hermosa Beach is the perfect place to try to skate with your friends for fun and get some cute pictures in for the social media. Most of the strand is flat which is the best place to skate and continue skating and learn or get better. Best part? is, you can totally wear a Jessie Top, tennis skirt, the Everyday bike shorts or leggings, and more to make the skate a little more memorable.
Try Surfing for the First Time.
Surfing is a classic West Coast activity that everyone should try once. Learning how to surf can be one of the most exciting and life-changing decisions you’ll ever make, but it can also be a long, slow, frustrating process. Despite all the challenges, surfing is an extremely rewarding pursuit, particularly for those who put in the effort and time and develop proficiency. The best beaches to try out surfing are Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Malibu, San Onofre, and Huntington Beach. This is a great classic summer activity to do with friends and get into the California lifestyle look. Even better you can surf in just a REVLY suit while the water is warm.
A couple of other fun activities include going to the Hermosa AVP, Manhattan AVP, and Laguna AVP and watching some pro volleyball players and playing with your friends, visiting Santa Monica, and walking the Promenade on 3rd Street and checking out the Santa Monica Pier and the rides it has, hike as close as you can to the Hollywood sign, and visiting Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles and try some delicious food. Whichever you choose you are sure to have a great time with your friends. Whether you are a Los Angeles local or not these activities will always brighten your day with your friends. If you ever do these activities in REVLY and take some cute photos for social media, make sure to tag us! We love seeing our REVLY gals in action.
